Of course it's a crappy bottom-corner shot... taken 5/11. Doesn't look quite right to be an elk...or a deer.
-
Im gonna have to say elk just by how the brow tines are starting.
-
thats one of those bull bigfoots, see them all the time. :chuckle:
-
Moose?
-
its a moose. where was this taken?
-
i think moose
-
Really you think it's a moose? WEH, you seem pretty convinced...why? I do kinda agree with you. In the Blues.
-
the razor back stance to the hair sez moose. the lack of dark hair on the top of the head. the way the antlers are already palmating sez moose. you can see the coarse texture of the hide? and the bug out eyes sez moose.
-
Yep, it's definitely a squatch.
-
I would say elk... not dark enough for a moose. And doesn't have the big shoulder hump of a moose. There antlers also grow more out than up.
-
Thats an elk.
-
Elk............ Or it could be one of those elusive ManBearPigs

Which would mean you might as well move to a new area because all your elk and deer will be dead! :sry:

Looks like a moose to me. moose
-
After looking at a whole lot of pics i gotta switch and say elk. Moose antlers seem to grow straight out the side of their skulls uniformly. Color had me fooled. Thats a light one.
-
Definately an elk. :twocents:
-
Elk.

I say Elk, would hope if you get another pic that you post it!!

It's a moose. Those are not elk horns.
-
Moose, there is the start of a hump and the right shovel looks like a well shovel start
-
Moose.... unless it's an elk!
-
I think it is a moose ....color just does not seem like an elk :twocents:

I don't think they are moose "horns" either..... :chuckle: Other than that, I don't know....
-
I think elk...as stated before moose antlers grow straight out and these appear to be growing upward
-
or maybe there are red stags in the blues :IBCOOL:
-
Keep your camera close, that strange little bump of a point on the left side should give you positive ID later.
-
Camera is getting moved to the Oregon side of the Blues to track branched antlered ELK that I can actually shoot!! So as far as this critter is concerned the world may never know...
-
That is an elk... you see starts to brow tines and the tallest portion is the growing beam. No large hump on shoulder and moose are dark brown almost black... elk are tan. Moose antlers grow straight out the sides as well (previously stated) the unevenness on the coat is the remaining winter coat shedding.
-
This is what moose look like... stolen from huntnnw trail cam pic thread.
-
Stands to reason that it's an elk. I had 1800 pictures and the majority of them were raghorns just starting to grow (April-June) and smaller bulls. I think it just looked so different because it was a funny angle.
