Title: Snoqulmie Valley survey, use of DNR land (TAKE SURVEY TO BALANCE SUBARU)
Post by: wt on July 11, 2012, 10:02:09 PM
This survey was forwarded to me and must be completed before July 31. Click on the highlighted “released a survey” near the beginning of the first paragraph and it will take you to the survey.  Please fill it out.  It discusses future uses of the Snoqualmie valley  (Mountain to Sound)    I checked: wild life underpasses under I-90, hunting and fishing, and to limit large groups for commercial purposes. I'm sure plenty of respondents will be not checking hunting or fishing or wild life habitat preservation, let your voice be heard.

basically the same as you but added.......Motorized (ATV) access  and  shooting should not be  totally ruled out in the entire area due to heavy granola abuse!

Done, I asked for the area to be open for all activities including hunting and fishing and also asked for public target shooting areas. People on the wetside need more places to shoot.

There's lots of places with shooting, just not many places to do it legally.  :tung:

You should take note that the survey was done for a specific reason... They want to know what emphesis on projects they should take on TRAILS! All the other reasons we why they should have them and/or where they should be located.  :twocents:. There is a huge movement to take old RR grades and turn them into hiking/biking trails. It would not surprise me that they ALREADY have somehting in mind and now are trying to justify it...  :twocents:

Took the survey  feels good to get some stuff off my chest. I like when they touched on commercial use licenses. Just searching for another way to make money  :twocents:... discover passes must not be cutting it. I use this land 15 hours a week on average. Never have had a need for "improvements" but more and more I'm starting to think the best improvement would be a lack there of. Too many yuppie mucks out there making demands, raising rates. I guess its a republic though and us outdoorsman are out the door, being walked all over by this yuppie majority. Anyways, hope some other users take the time to do the survey. Appreciate the post.
