Title: High Country Mulie and Black Bear
Post by: wilsongideon on July 11, 2012, 10:41:28 PM: went out this last saturday for a little high buck scouting trip. I glassed this guy down the ridge about 6-800 yards away. Tried to get a little closer to make out his points/width and he wasnt fooled at all. but I got alittle bit of an idea now. He isnt the biggest buck and i think Id pass on him untill later in the season. I glassed for awhile but never saw any other bucks with him but i suppose they might be there. I'd take the bear though as long as it wasnt 90 degrees like it felt like up there.

Post by: wilsongideon on July 12, 2012, 03:49:37 PM: the buck was 7100 ft or so ,he was slightly above me. but the bear was probably about 6500 or less he was below me pretty steep and I guess over 500 yards away. hard to say I didnt hike down to the bear. He was out in the open for about twenty minutes then he dissapeared into the timber
