HG, I have zero experience with bird launchers and will not order something sight unseen. I’ve got plans to make one and will probably go that route.

you looking for electronic launchers or just the step on baskets? Either way, nobody carriers any of the good stuff on the shelf. Lion Country Supply has always been good to me and I've returned stuff to them without problems.
What specifically are you looking for?

Most of my training will be done solo so I would prefer electronic launch or manual launch that I could turn into an electronic launch. I’ve read good reviews about LC Supply.
Specifically I’m looking for 2 launchers I could use to train my partially started 1.5 year old GSP with, but I’m having a hard time spending the $$$ to buy a launcher or deciding if I could continue training without one altogether.

I have a couple of the LCS launchers and they work great. a bird launcher only seems expensive until you buy one and use it. then you will find its worth every penny and then some, especially if you train alone. the bird flushes when you want it to and there is no risk of the dog catching a dizzy pigeon or chukar.
after a certain point the more pen raised game birds you use in training, the more it will hurt your dogs performance on the real wild thing. not all of us have the time and area to train our dogs on wild birds, IMO a bird launcher is a good solution. you can make any old homing pigeon flush wild like a late season pheasant - try doing that with an asthmatic pen raise chukar that can barely get itself off the ground because its spent the last three days in a pet carrier.
the best part is bird launchers don't have wives, kids, or work so they are ready to go when you are.

• 3 9v battery connectors - Amazon or Radio Shack
• 2-Wire actuator - Amazon
• 4-channel wireless remote control system - Amazon
• Buzzer - Amazon or Radio Shack
• Project enclosure - Amazon or Radio Shack
• 3 9v batteries
• Large LCS Bird Launcher
Explanation
• Bought 4-channel so I can use single remote for 2 launchers
- Launcher A actuator
- Launcher A buzzer
- Launcher B actuator
- Launcher B buzzer
• 2-wire actuator
- Green wire connects to control
- Black to battery connector
- WIRES MUST BE CONNECTED THIS WAY FOR ACTUATOR TO PULL
• Used parts from actuator to connect to actuator to launcher and trigger
Thoughts
• Battery placement in project enclosure
• Water resistance
• Range in cover
• Latch on project box
• Move control and buzzer to top to make room for batteries
• Buzzer strength -- louder buzzer or move to outside of project enclosure

did you save any money building your own stuff? and what is the range?
Yeah. I saved a ton of money on the remote trigger and it ranges to 200m.
• Battery connector $1.25
• 2-Wire actuator $9
• 4-channel wireless remote control system $5
• Buzzer $4
• Project enclosure $6
Add in a couple of bucks for the batteries and shipping.
