They can hear the camera take the picture. I have three m-80's and they can definitely hear them but it doesn't bother them at all. I have had elk bed down a foot from the camera and they didn't even flinch when a picture is taken.

Most animals that hunt and feed nocturnally have some degree of infrared vision. I'm considering getting another camera. Sure wouldn't pass up a Moultrie if a deal comes up!
