Why is it that every bear that is in the news for any reason is always "a 300 lb bear"?

The camera adds 20 lbs. That is actually a 280 lb bear.

No worries, I removed my post that had the quote but I do agree with what it did say

I seriously doubt that a 3 yo bear in this state would reach 300 lbs. Maybe 200. So in this case the camera added 100lbs
