Here we move into another class of moose, these should be "no brainers" for you guys.
-
ill have to get my uncles up on here, its huge, the one from washington and canada
-
No brainer I'd say, heck a 140 would be a no brainer for me. I've got to stop looking at all these huge bulls, otherwise my expectations will be all out of whack. Thanks for posting though, its great to see the different looks bulls can have, and help me figure out what is important to look for in terms of eye appeal.
-
Nothing wrong with high expectations, thats what makes you pass up the little guys ;)
-
I'd like a thread of 130 bulls personally, when a guy sees a 150 it will be a no brainer, but I'm guess those in the 130 range might deceive a guy, got any pics of those type of bulls?
-
Are they head less ghost hunters????? Just kidding nice Bulls...

E-mailed an Official B&C Measurer in Kettle Falls. On how to field judge a moose. This was his responce.
Call the Boone and Crockett in Missoula and order their publication
How to Judge Bib Game Trophies in the Field. Great reading!
Best moose hunting advice I can give you: DON"T GET TRIGGER HAPPY
until the last day of the season.
Moose are VERY tough to judge in the field.
Keep in touch!

wow what a nice guy!!!!! NOT  that was real nice of him.

:mgun: You're right, those are no brainers. The 130 bulls should be easy to tell IMO, the 150's will be easy as well, its the 140's that are going to have me ducking my head all the time waiting for Dougs bitch slap, I think I'm going to feel like that old bald guy on The Benny Hill Show.

Funny to quote myself, but I got the book and for the money, (I got a used one) It's very good on how to field judge and score your moose. Does anybody know what the Washington record is? And is there any pictures?
-
my uncle called the other day and it is 176 and some change. I seen it a few years ago at the big horn show over here. haven't seen any pictures. it was killed by Leavenworth.
-
I guess I should google before I ask, found this on the B&C website. Scroll down the page. Picture and score. http://www.boone-crockett.org/news/trophyWatch_month.asp?area=news&year=2005&month=6

Timber? Where did you get these pictures? And did the picture say what the spread of each bull was?
-
I think most of the pics came from trophyphotos.com. No, each picture did not have spreads listed, just the one (listed in filename).

Thanks, and we who have moose tags, thank you for the posts :hello:
