Post by: shorthair15 on July 22, 2012, 06:44:06 PM
looking for a thumb activated release for 3d and hunting. was wondering if any one uses one instead of a wrist release. was thinking of trying one of the tru ball or carters. thanks

The tru ball pro diamond works well for hunting.  It isn't the top notch release, but it is much quieter than the others and it is easier to hook onto your loop. I've got several and tried several others and use the pro diamond for hunting.

Been shooting a tru ball for about 4 years now and love it. Has held up great even with bows up to 85lbs. I can't even think of how many shots or critters it has taken with me.

Carter simple 1 or just b cuz! I shoot a just b cuz and love it! Haven't tried a simple 1 but If I did I am sure I would have to have one.

Its not an easy adjustment.   Your shooting will get worse before it gets better.  A T handle release might change you anchor point and you peep height you will have to mess with different things to get it right.
