Title: Looking for a good solar charger
Post by: Rufenit on July 30, 2012, 08:51:25 PM: I have been reading so many reviews on different solar chargers, my head hurts and I know less now then when I started,.

I am looking for a solar charger to charge my Garmin Rino while I am on an backcountry Elk trip for 10 days in Oregon. If anyone has one that they have had good luck with I would sure like to know what is and would you reccomend i.

Post by: jbeaumont21 on July 31, 2012, 07:37:45 PM: Have you thought about getting the alkaline battery pack instead? I'm guessing you could get by with about 12 - 16 AAA batteries for 10 days if you turn off a bunch of the unecessary functions on the rino.
