Do any of you fill all 4 fall turkey tags?
Just wondering how often it happens.

I have ... but that said travelling that distance from the "wetside" in the snow and cold of the late fall season for 1 bird really isn't worth it in time nor money.  Not so sure it's even worth it in the early fall season for 2 hens and 1 any turkey.

Defintely prefer calling in 2 toms in the spring season versus what any fall season has to offer.

I know some hunters hunt only the fall, due to the fact the turkeys have been gorging themselves all summer.
Hens and especially toms put on the pounds.

But that's the good thing about hunting ... different strokes for different folks, and its all good.

I never look at the weight (which if you got the 1 tom and 2 hens in the early fall would be similar to 2 toms in the spring; not counting a late fall turkey taken in a foot plus of snow and 10 degree temps gets you a 10-22 lb bird ), but the hunt itself.  I've done all 3 seasons, but to me there's nothing like a spring hunt for gobbling toms (versus scattering and calling ... or ambushing ... a large flock).
 :dunno:
If I ever go in the fall seasons again, I will take the recurve or compound or black powder shotgun versus my  pump 12 ga shotguns to harvest some from those large fall flocks.
