Twin Harbors here we come... Leaving first thing tomorrow morning . Gonna do some crabbing in the marina off the docks(no boat) ... looks like we will have some great weather... Hope to bring back a cooler full of crab and Tuna if the prices are good...

I heard the price on tuna is around $3 a pound. If the marine forecast was better I could help you out on a lot cheaper tuna but its looking windy so I'll probably stay home. Good luck, get some tuna carcasses for bait if you can, and I'm not sure how many people do it but if you could pack your traps down the jetty and throw them as far out as you can I bet you'd do a lot better than in the harbor, often times we drop pots not far from the jetty by boat.

Got a cooler full of shad for bait.. we ended up with 27 keepers(18 dungy's) last year down there in the marina in 2 1/2 day's, I love taking shad and watching peoples faces when they pull up a ring with like 10 small crab and we pull up full rings with multiple keepers.

If your using ring nets and the sea lions steal the bait put the bait on the bottom of the ring and they will leave it alone but it will still catch crabs.

great tip buckhorn2

yeah we have lost our fair share to the sealions, the last few years we have been using hard plastic mesh bags, that seems to work well but I will definitely try that out .. Thanks Buckhorn2....

If you want an updated fishing report if you type in charter association fishing report you will get the daily fishing report from the charters telling catchs and also area fished.
