Does anyone know if finney creek road is open went up there to scout two weeks ago and it was closed. :dunno:
-
I doubt if they will open it. They may open for a day at a time, but that would probably be the extent of it.

It is only washed out near the Concrete Sauk Valley Rd....I was on it last week came over on the 18 rd. from Darrington. Went to the wash out then all the way back out the lower end of the 17 rd.

My Dad lives just down the road from the upper end where it's washed out. Rumor has it that it will be awhile until its fixed. You can still get up there from the 18 road that takes off from 530 at Swede Haven or off the South Skagit East of Day Creek.
If you know where to turn, the Stowe road gates may be open and you can get up there that way. If your coming from Concrete towards upper Finney, about the 5 mile mark, start looking for a road that goes up to the right. If I remember correctly, Longview Fiber owns that land and opens the gates during bear season. Dad is coming down in the morning, I will ask him if he noticed if the gate is open or not.
If you put these coordinates into google maps, it will show you about where the road takes off.

Thanks jeep.

Just talked with my dad, the Stowe road is still locked up. Apparently Sierra Pacific owns it now with no plans to open the gates. >:(
