So im setting up my treestand and I left some peices at home, I come back and see this bear! I zoomed on with my new camera and took some pictures. I sat there and watched for a while! He was sniffinf around and everything. What do you say? Something to go for?

I would take him but I have never shot a bear so it's different for me
-
Hell yeah!

I would definitely make sure I have a bear tag in addition to my deer tag. :twocents:
-
I don't know how big he is, but I would LOVE to have that hide on my wall. That stripe is very unique. I wonder if the stripe is hair that's shedding out and might not stay in?
-
How much does he/she weigh? Around 225lbs or more?
Short, thin legs and long ears. I would bet only around 150-175 lbs max.
-
I would take it. But it would be my first also so it's a bit different.

Imagine walking into the woods unarmed and 50yrds away...bear! He has a nice thin cinnamon stripe from his head to his tail! I think in this photo he was after a brown squirrel. A lot of those around here!
another good reason not to be walking around without a gun :twocents:

not a monster but I would whack him
-
I would pound him as my first bear in a heartbeat!!

Any bear is a good bear. I would turn that bear into sausage in a heartbeat.

Very true!!! There's always a second tag if you want to get a monster.
I'm hoping to be going over to the recipe section of this forum for Bear meat pretty soon.

Yep. ears look big younger bear. Not a sow with cubs perfectly ok to shoot. Hide looks in decent shape

I'd take him, no doubt. Then hold out for a big one with my second tag.
