Post by: C-Money on August 12, 2012, 04:20:12 PM
What kind of permits, if any, do I need to ride my Washington, ORV licenced, ATV in Idaho. I wanna ride trails, and possibly travel some roads. Thanks for the help!

You have to get an Idaho license plate and your Washington ORV sticker is honored. You also have to have insurance on your ATV's or you can't legally ride them. Just call the DMV in Wallace and they'll tell you and send all the info you need. That's what I did, piece of cake. Oh, about the insurnace, you have to have proof of insurance for your ATV with you. Just like a car.

My wife did get stopped and checked by the Forest Circus out of Elk City 4 weeks ago. He checked her ATV for the Idaho plates and her ORV stickers. No problem unlike this friggin' state.
