Starting to get the itch again - anyone else?
-
I am! I can't wait to get the pup out for his first time. I think he is getting tired of chasing bumpers.
-
I never lost the itch. I was planning for the season as soon as the last one ended.
-
I still have a few goose decoys in my truck. :chuckle:
-
After taking a long break and picking it up again last year I forgot how much fun it was. I'm looking for a plan now for youth weekend
-
I am itching like a dog. I will give goose a shot, and I will take some out for the youth hunt
-
No. But I remember when i was 13 years younger i certainly would have painted my decoys twice by now. Hat's off to those who still get the 'fever' when it's 93 degrees out.

heck...i went from last season directly into working on modifying my jon boat for this season...buying decoys/shells....scouting...and i forgot all about archery deer opening in a couple of weeks :bash:

No itch here so far. Geared up and I'm the last one in my fam that hunts public instead of out the back door with coffee brewing and mother hen around :'( . Good luck. Just hoping I can get something figured out and leave the spots I hunted growing up. Also going to try more PM hunts when the weather is right. Also hit the resources to learn more about the migrations of mallards which is mostly common knowledge but some things I didn't know or put much thought into. But could see what the they where talking about looking back at personal experience.
More nervous energy now because I have almost done nothing to show success that gets others interested to keep a public sport alive no matter how hard I try with limited time.

My itching is getting worse - Picking up the new Brittany pup this Friday! I'm going to be a busy guy this year.
