Title: Leupold!!!
Post by: dlaw on August 22, 2012, 05:27:57 PM: Have to give a shout out to what I have always heard was unbeatable but never used. I have had Leupold binos and scopes for a while now and always purchased them because I had heard how good their warranties were, and they are a great optics company. This past Sunday I was doing some scouting and realized my binos retractable eye relief had a crack in it and was not allowing me to bring it out or in without coming off. Being as hunting is here in two weeks I called them on Monday and he stated to send them in and they would take a look at what they could do. I was concerned with hunting season approaching and the thought of being without so I said "How about I come over to you guys in Beaverton and you can look at them then and let me know the best action to take. Long story short he recommended I leave them with them and he could put a rush on it and if they couldn't fix he would send me out a new pair. I agreed and was on my way. I get home from work today (Two Days Later, less than 48 hours) and they had shipped me a brand new pair of the newer version. Thats outstanding customer service, hands down I will keep with Leupold optics. Just wanted to share my story and say thank you to Leupold.

I fell on it and broke it.... except I walked out with a new scope and was back to hunting the next day... I have to say one thing you do get with those expensive damn scopes is service.

I had scratched the lenses really bad and took them to the factory just to get them repaired. They said they'd take a look at them and let me know. Three days later a package shows up in the mail, viola, a brand new pair of binos. Great company and great service. I have 8 or 9 Leupy scopes, a rangefinder, two pairs of binos and gold ring HD spotter. I figure if they are gonna give me that good of service as a customer, then I'm going to do ALL of my optics business with them.....Keep it in the USA!

Post by: summit creek on August 22, 2012, 07:43:22 PM: i dony use leupold binos i use swavzs but i dont care what anyone says they make the best scopes period and like you said they stand behind there product i could write about this all night get this my friend was elk hunting in packwood years ago and somehow the bracket that screws into his spoting scope was in his saddle bags and the mules slammed into a tree and broke the bracket he called leupold they said send it back he said im going thru oregon in 3 days he stoped by the plant new bracket and tripod no questions asked leupold rocks built good built in oregon how sweet is that!!!!!

We just send them in and get brand new pairs within a week or so. I think we've probably gotten 6 or 7 pairs by now for free.

6 or 7 pairs? Wow..

I wont use anything but Leupold myself. Period.

Curious....what model Zen Ray did you purchase?

Curious....what model Zen Ray did you purchase?

I bought the Prime HD 10x42HD and as I stated above I am not impressed!!

carpsniper do you have any idea when Leupold is.coming out with something like their Gold Ring HD binos? They havnt had a top end bino for a few years now.

Yes, great product but some of their scopes and most of their binos are made overseas. Mojoves are made in Japan. Not sure about the VX line.

Nah Leupold is pretty shut lip until the shows. I can pry info out of my friend at nosler and a few other companies I am in rolled with, but not Leupold :chuckle:

Post by: wence5 on August 27, 2012, 04:38:21 PM: Well, I'll say this, I have a Vari-X II 3x9 on my Ruger M77 .270 Win., that I bought new in 1986, and I've only changed the scope settings once because I changed from factory ammo to handloads. Always hits where I aim, and I have put a lot of deer in the freezer with this set up. I am sold on Leupold optics.

Wife and I have had the same problem and deal. They have my 20x50's right now, I am expecting my new pair soon. Great service, but I really would like it if they would get the eye relief in better quality so that it doesn't break each year. My wife wears glasses and I don't so we share back and forth. Finally got her her own pair so it has slowed down a bit, but we still share once in awhile and they still wear out.

Quick turn-around and freindly helpful customer service reps. And there optics second to none, especially on value! Been shooting them for some time now!
Even sold several Nightforce and replaced with Razors and couldn't be happier!

I had several Vipers go back to Vortex because they wouldn't track for Chit! If you zeroed them and left them they were fine. If you went from a 100 yard zero to your 600 yard dope, the first shot was always out same with the return to 100. Did the same thing after the return from being serviced, sold them both in a hurry. My brothers did the same thing and has been sitting on a shelf in the reloading room ever since. I wouldn't trade a NightForce for 5 Vortex's but that's from my Persenal experiences. Bad batch, I don't know?

"Second to none" Debatable... :dunno:

But then again I can understand the local line up for optics, certain places don't carry NightForce anymore. For whatever reason???? Some places do, some places went with Vortex after loosing or dropping NightForce??????? Either way, I have never been let down by NightForce optics. I have had issues with the only Vortex's I have owned and accasionaly Leupold but I have owned ALOT of Leupold's and the majority were great.

:yeah: Bought two new vortex scopes early this year turrets work great. :dunno: I also own a pair of HD razor binos and the razor spotter and couldn't be happier, but also own several leupy products and again couldn't be happier. :tup:
