Title: Going out for the last time
Post by: seth30 on August 27, 2012, 06:22:15 PM: Well tomorrow is the last day that I can hunt this year. Upwind and I are headed out in search of those elusive bears. Found tons of blackberries that are ripe two days ago but the bears have not found them yet. The huckleberries and rasberries have been picked clean, and the blue berries are not ripe yet. I am going to target the blackberries in hope the bears have found them by now. Hopefully I can put up a pick of a nice bear tomorrow :tup:

Post by: seth30 on August 28, 2012, 10:39:07 PM: Sorry just got home a hour ago. Nothing, didnt even see one bear. Upwind and I were at it at 0530 and hit it hard all day. Found tons of scat, and on the two moutains we combed not a single black berry has been touched. Even though I struck out today it was a great way to end my last day of hunting with a good friend!

Unless you get eaten by a bear I guess, but still. 99.9% of the time it's better to be in the woods.
