Berries are looking great in the high country blueberries and huckleberries everywhere. Lots of bears up there. This one tastes and looks excellent, got it on tuesday.

Well story goes, I have been going to the same basin in late August for the last 5 years aside from last year, I think I have got one up there every year within a quarter mile of eachother. Its a long walk into the wildrness, around a 23 mile roundtrip with 4K elevation gain. Lots of work for a bear but sure is a fun way to spend the day. Me and my father sleep at the trail head, wake up at 2:00 AM hike through the night and make it to the lookout by 6:30 or so. Spotted this one where we always do, put about an hour sneak on him and got right above him. I have no clue how big he, but I am happy. Then we make the looooong pack out.

So.....typically new members give up at lease one honey hole. However, it sounds like it is such a sweet spot and I'm to lazy to hunt it anyway you get a pass. Sounds like a gem of an area. Congratulations again and I'll be looking for more pics and posts of critters.

Geez h20hunter.... What do you want him to do? Draw you a map?  :chuckle: :chuckle:

Nice bear for sure!

Funny you mention that. I am of course messing with him and tried to convey that I wasn't serious of course. I owe a lot to a member of this site this year because believe it or not....he did draw me a map! That map resulted in one dead bear for myself. I've since passed on the karma and just now provided a different map for a different species myself. Trying to keep the good karma moving forward.

Ummm...H2O, dude...  I would never give up one of my spots to you.  Pretty sure you would pass the karma (and map) along to a few hundred of your closest internet friends.  You just stay with the C-Post jokes.  Keeps you from talking about my spot(s).
