3 radio collared wolves were spotted just east of north bend....wdfw was notified
-
Did you tell them to take hwy 18 west to I5, then south to Olympia where they can comence killin ???????
-
I think we will hear alot more of people seeing wolves now that everyone has been informed we do have wolves roaming the hills of Washington :yike: :hunter:
-
Those wolves are in for a big surprise if they think federal protection extends to Seattle's highways :bdid: :tung:
-
Can we get some more details on this?
-
wolves were spotted on the edgewick road by a very reliable source, and they contacted the wdfw
-
Document document document! pic of tracks, scat and samples... Only way to prove they are around, even tho they have collars on them!
-
They are putting them every where.

Hopefully, the wolves learn to chase cars on I-90... 8) 8)

who??? :dunno:
-
They are putting themselves everywhere, just what wolves do.
-
As I previously posted my wife saw one up close on the Middle Fork of the Snoqualamie about two miles from Edgewick road a few weeks ago.

On Sunday I was coming over the pass after a day of grouse hunting and at the Tinkham exit I saw three guys standing in the on ramp area with what looked like radio collar tracking antennas. They could have been doing anything but the thought did cross my mind that they were tracking wolves.
-
One would be stupid not to poke all three.
-
They are putting them every where.
who??? :dunno:
Someone is if they have collars on.
-

who??? :dunno:
DUH.........radio collars...........where and who do you think put the collars on and then dumped them off east of northbend? Just like the collared wolf in northeast Washington that had DNA traced back to Grand Teiton National Park.

It's an absolute fact that cannot be ignored, if there were 3 wolves with collars they were all contained by someone and then released! :twocents:
-
Thats sweet wolves spotted up the middle fork
A mile away from my kids school sweet
im glad the game department thinks its funny
The westside has to many people if some one
gets hurt by them I hope they sue the *censored* out of
the state and the game department
-
Keep in mind that it could be wolf groups releasing wolves! The area needs checked with a scanner to determine what frequency those collars are on.
-
Don't think they will be around long if they come around my house,
-
I have a feeling wolves are now in alot more places than we think they are
-
It is really important that everyone report their sightings this fall to the WDFW and also report sightings in our wolf count topic so we all know what's being seen and can hold the state accountable for sightings. :twocents:
-
I wouldnt say they were dumped just yet. From the teanaway to north bend is literally no more than a 3 day trip to a wolf. Ive been telling people that since they were first discovered in the teanaway that they'd be on the west side in no time. I saw sign of wolves up french cabin out of roslyn when I was there over the summer and that couldnt be any more than 75 miles as the crow flies to north bend.
-
Welll I hope they beeline for Bellevue, Freemont, and the Seattle Times parking garage.

I was just posting that cause it looked like the statement i had quoted was directed at WDFW doing the releasing. I wasnt saying there were no other parties involved with possibly releasing wolves there.
-
so did somebody stop and give them a map of the seattle area at least or give them directions? :dunno: Or did somebody tell them to hitchhike on the side of the freeway i-90 or i-5? I'm sure people would be willing to
pick them up give them a ride. :dunno:
-
I am not a supporter of wolf re-introduction by any means, but wolves in NB will make elk hunting in the area a little better(for a couple years) as it will push those big bulls out of meadowbrook. :twocents:
Don't ridicule me, but the faster we can get established packs all throughout the state, the sooner my trigger finger will be happy and be able to take down one of these canine's....... legally.
-
I think wolves in Northbend, snoqualmie, issaquah, samamish is GREAT! That is Kind county and the heart of the problem! Plenty of knuckle head that think wolves are cute and cudley there... I aways like it when people are affected by thier own decisions/choices!

North Bend, Issaquah, and Sammamish are way more conservative when compared to Seattle. There is a strong base of hunters on the Eastside of King co who are none too happy about Wolfy
-
If they don't head east soon they will be cut off for the winter by the snow. I doubt they would move east after the big snow starts.
-
Scottr i grew up in that area... There are plenty of Nieve do gooders that live there. Besides, Little Si, Bandera, exit 38 are all places that seattle folkes love to recreate... Perfect so that thye can have close encounters for the animals they love... :twocents:

This topic should be sent here http://www.nwhikers.net/forums/index.php. (http://www.nwhikers.net/forums/index.php.) Under the Stewardship heading and then under the topic "Wolves need our help now". That'll get em going since most of Seattropolis hikes up off of the Middle Fork.
-
Phool, according to Nat. Geo. And animal planet, winter is the peak time of the year for wolves, that's when they're at their best because the game is plentiful and easier to catch. So I don't think the snow and the pass would be a problem and besides, maybetheyll realize there is game (king/pierce co.tree huggers) to eat over there.
-
i also heard no keep i mind i just heard that some woves were seen in the raymond area, can anyone confirm that? now for these wolves in north bend, well lets just say i will not be to suprised when some tree huggin hippie gets attacked, if i remember right there is some hiking trails up there that those liberal wolf lovers like to hike on...
-
Better them than us. They're the ones who wanted them anyway.
-
Didnt the Colville tribe just capture and collar 3 wolves....??? Maybe they lent us a hand and delivered them for us..
Just sayin... :chuckle:

Yeah but thats because the elk and deer head lower and are more concentrated, the ungulates don't typically stay in the deep snow.

I don't believe any of us on here wanted them in any of our backyards unless they come with OTC tags

As sad as it is to say the wolves getting into King county is the best damn thing that can happen to get the fast track on managing them. Once a few attacks on either people, or their precious animals that they consider on the same level as humans happen there will be much more pressure on Olympia to expedite the management process.
-
The faster they are confirmed over there the faster we hit the population dispersment goals outlined by the wolf conservation and management plan. Report report report, then report it again
-
Wolves in the suburbs?

We don't need tags for coyotes. Year round, no bag limit, no tags. Seem agreeable enough?
-
:chuckle: well done Northway!
-
Just a bunch of tree huggers see stupid coyotes.

huh? Are you refuting wolf sightings made by people on this board or making a statement about what the typical Seattleite hiker will think when they see their first wolf at Mt Si?
