Title: Idaho General Deer
Post by: coyote_out on September 06, 2012, 09:41:28 PM: I am thinking about buying a general deer tag in Idaho and hunting unit 1, maybe some of the other pan handle units if I can find the time off. Thoughts and comments on those units? And your favorite/tradition/fun trip units?

Yep no more deer in N. Idaho that's for sure and the season is so short it is not really worth it.. :)

If I pick other units more south, chances are I will only get 1 hunt. Maybe there is not many deer left, but hey, it only takes one.

There are still deer there. And with a couple hard days of hunting just about any person that is not legally blind can kill a buck. I just compare it to what it was just 5-7 years ago and it sucks. A couple very hard winters have really knocked the numbers down. If you go just a few hrs south of there the deer numbers are a lot better.
