Title: Scouting GMU 113
Post by: Ericmpeterson on September 09, 2012, 09:56:13 PM
I have been busy this summer and unable to scout at all. I have been told that there some good bucks up in that area, but not many. Any suggestions? If anybody has better suggestions for public land I am open to them. I appreciate the help, I know its bad form to ask for locations, but if people could at least give me an idea of good trails.
Thanks in Advance.
Eric

i've been putting in a decent amount of time in there this year. this last weekend a buddy and i spent a day up there and saw 3 bears, a moose, and a doe. Saw plenty of elk sign and some pretty fresh rubs but no bucks or bulls. We spent most of our time on the border about an hr, maybe less, north of nordman.

Lots of public land out of the valleys- grab a map and go check some of the closed road systems.  Find an area that was logged a couple years ago and has lots of browse- there should be deer around.
