Title: 9/11 RIP my brothers an sisters
Post by: rtspring on September 11, 2012, 07:07:13 AM: I hope that one day all the people who had anything to do with this get what they got coming.

On the morning it happened I was a First Class Petty Officer on the USS MOBILE BAY (CG-63). Talk about things got real serious in a hurry. We had every gun or missle at the ready and were doing 35 knots plus from San DIego to San Francisco to protect the airspace. TO the people on board the plane from Australia to San Franciso, You have no idea how close you were to being shot down. We had orders ot knock you out of the sky with a SM-2 Sea to air missle that was so close to firing that the hatch was opened on the launcher. Thank god we got word at the last second that you were friendly on the IFF..

Lets hope this never hapens again to this country!!

A big thank you goes out to the people in our military, I may be retired but I am still behind you 100 percent...

This was the only day I ever seen the airport so quiet and so many planes on the ground and as you stated RT, lets hope and pray this never happens again, pray for peace and train for war, Semper Fi! :salute: :salute: :salute:

Anyone else hear this or just another bad rumor? :dunno: :dunno: :dunno:

Well we're still uncomfortable when they gather!! Tell them and their feelings to suck it!! I was there 30 days after this happened and it is an experience I will never forget! :'(
