Counting down the days for peaches ridge muzzy tag. Hoping for a little weather change, some rain would be nice. Either way i'm heading that way on sep. 29.

Its really dry up there, I have been up a few times in the past few weeks. Dont worry about the animals all the bowhunters I seen were driving the damn roads. They are there, Find some water source and with the rut you should do well.

Get ready to have a blast  good luck.

I was there two years ago with a friend that had the same tag it was a lot of fun. Does anybody know if there is a meat locker anywhere close?
-
I think slim's market in Naches still has one available but honestly I would trust the sun beating down on my elk with flies swarming more than the cleanliness of that hell hole.
-
Squaw rock has a cooler or you can take your elk down to Nile valley meats
-
I was in that neighborhood Sunday night. Fell asleep and woke up in the woods listening to bugling bulls.

NILE MEATS, right hand side of 410 out of naches before you get to the 12 turn off. HE does mine every year.. do no cut the hangin tendons on the legs off, I made that mistake once as a young man, and he still gives me *censored* about it.... Really good peeperoni sticks!!

Same butcher, he moved to his home, NILE MEATS., has a really nice set up. But last year he had some goofball putting WD40 on the meat hanging wheels, When doing so he sprayed it all over some guys deer that was hanging, I said something but then the butcher took over!!! Man was he pissed.......

Were heading over the 29th. Good luck huntingtheres some dandys over ther

are you sure larry from nile game processing ran the cooler at slim's? If so I'm sure it wasn't that bad I just assumed it was the same guys that owned slim's and judging by the rest of that place I wouldn't recommend it.
As for Nile game processing, if he lets you hang it he has a really nice set up and I would recommend his place and his butchering, he did my bull last year.

We're heading over on the 26th. First for deer then segue right into spikes. Good luck to you!

Sorry, I gave bad info larry's other shop was in downtown naches.. slims is closed.

 on Nile meats!
-
Thanks for all the info on the butcher shops,if i get one depending on the weather i might head for home with it. If it' to hot then i will need the cooler.

As to why larry moved nile valley meats... he was clearly making the most revenue in naches and his taxes kept on going up. my uncle ran him out of here. It is a lot easier to have it at his house.
I will always go there because of his and barb's good work.
I would not trust the indians at slims :twocents: :bdid: :bdid:.
Really? there's some indians working at slim's? I thought that place was closed? Any idea of who they are?

:chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

I pulled a 6x6 out of there back in the 06 archery season. Lots of hunters and traffic. Put in my time and leg work. Talked to lots of bulls and passed on a spike and even a rag horn 5x5. But also saw a bull of a lifetime in there. Shoot me a pm and ill try to help you with a couple holes in the little Naches, if I can remember them correctly.

Plat he's referring to middle eastern indians not native americans... I don't know if slim's ever closed down, but it's discusting so it would be better off closed.

Two more days of work then i'm off. Got the muzzy sighted in, kicks a little more and a lot more smoke then my bow but should be alright. Looking for that 360 bull!!!
-
Good luck.
