Post by: FC on September 19, 2012, 10:41:31 PM: Depends, a j frame on the sneak or a 686 on my belt in the woods. I've gotten back to carrying wheel-guns exclusively again. If we are talking rifles it would be a Savage .308 with a 4-12x Bushnell.

We still rib him about it.

Did you tell him guys walking through Falluja carry less heat then that....

Post by: bosshogg112 on September 21, 2012, 04:28:35 PM: Rifles, i only have 2 :'( in big game caliber and both are 30-06. Marlin xl7 and a Remington 742 each with a nikon buckmaster 3-9x40. Pistol would be s&w 686 which is always on my person in the woods.

• Handgun Primary for Hunting: Taurus® Mdl 425 41 Magnum
• Handgun Back Up for Hunting: S&W Mdl 686 357 Magnum
• Handgun Primary CCW: Taurus® Mdl 617 357 Magnum
• Handgun Back Up CCW: Taurus® Mdl 85 38 Special

Post by: JackOfAllTrades on September 21, 2012, 09:52:23 PM: Hunting wise... Primary rifle is a Ruger77. (not a MkII) in a magnum cal. Backup rifle on most trips is a sporterized 03-A3. Otherwise one of my 44mags is on me. Almost always take my trusty Marlin 30-AS (Mr. Lucky), that has seven notches cut in the sling. .

Carry wise... to back up one of my 1911's is a Ruger SP101 in 357mag.
