Ran across this bull a week ago in the Easton area.
I love it when I see this bulls, he was as surprised as I was. When he turned I zoomed and the pic got a bit grainy.

What a TOAD

If only I had the tag!
Leaving for the first week of modern in New Mexico on Sunday. This one definitely got me going.

Great picture, He's a stud.

Ass-scratching beams is typically an expression, not too often does a guy actually see one. That is a stud.
-
thats a cool bull

Nice bull! Hope I can run across something like that in December.
-
WOW!!!!
-
I've lived over here for five years and run across some big hogs a few times.
Word has it two of them got poached back 3 or 4 years ago. There was a 6X6 that ran with a brute 8X7. They found two bulls together headless, since they were inseparable after the rut it had to be the two studs.
Only good thing is they did a great job breeding because each year since I have seen bulls like this one. His scrape is a pine about 5 inches in diameter.
I'll try and get him with my good camera. He is magnificent, glad you agree.
-
I know a few bulls that share the same bloodline. They have a very distinctive set of headgear. The Easton area is my elk stomping grounds.
-
He is a hell of a bull!! Thanks for posting the pics.
-

Great bulls in Wa, Sunday I'm headed to an any elk hunt in New Mexico for the ninth time.
With any food fortune I'll be able to post some NM pics of my ninth NM bull.
Good hunting to everyone.
-
Dang, that's a big 'un!
We just finished building a weekend cabin (and potential retirement home) near Roslyn and are in the moving process. Can't wait until next year when I'll finally have some time to wander the public land around there and see what hunting opportunities are available. ;)

Ok all you judges out there, What does he score?
This should be fun!
I can tell you this much by looking at his front shot his thirds are not weak lik a lot of bulls that are not yet quite mature and on the second picture you see his fourths on up are nice. Decent length in the main beam catagory and could be a little wider but wont hurt his numbers much.
I would put him over 360 but under 375.

great looking bull!
I'd put him right around the top end of your guess, right around 375"ish.

Always fun to stab at this. in person this was a bull that impressed from the first second I had eyes on him.
Tough to tell from the pictures and I didn't get more than a minute or two to watch him but I would say he pushes 375, good mass and his fronts were strong too as well as main beam length.
I had a blow up at work and didn't make my annual trip to New Mexico. My brother and son went though and opening morning my brother tagged out a 6X6 at 20 minutes of morning light and my son tagged a 5X5 that evening just before dusk.
I'll put them up in the 2012 bull thread.

gross 380

I heard the big bull bugling this morning and had to get out for some pictures, I'll post what I got. He was trying to keep things under control and two harems got together with the dominate bulls of each all horned up.
It was a great morning!!!
I took these in morning light with an 80-400 zoom and my Cannon Rebel digital camera.
-
More fun!

When it first got light this morning I caught the big bull working 6 or 8 cows by himself.

He looks tired and a little thin in the butt and I am glad he has made it this long to carry on

He's running his ass off right now with the rut, I wish I had his energy. Pretty darned impressive when he's within 30 to 50 yards. It's amazing how agile and quick they are, like a good cutting horse on steroids.
-
GREAT PIC'S!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice bulls. To bad there on suncadia's property. My buddy is an electrician and is working in tumble creek and has been seeing all those bulls on a daily basis. They are safe and they know it. It wouldn't matter if you had the tag or not you can't hunt there property.
-

I have seemed to come to this thread and look at this bull everyday for the last week.. I love this bull!.... :tree1:... God i was to kill him... :archery_smiley:..
-
I have seen an increase of bulls in the area with the same cluster of tines at the top, and got a few on my game camera, many are located on private property not open for hunting to the public, heres a shed from the area that could be from the first bull.
-
Whoa! :yike:
-
Very cool bunch of photos
-
Those are all very cool pics!! Thanks for sharing, and that is why I had choose the Easton area to hunt this year for early archery! No luck, too hot, no bull tag this year, and back surgery kept me out of the running for any of those cows!
-
Awesome pictures! Thanks for sharing, that is one impressive rack!
