Why does everyone seem to ask this? I bet it's between 1k and 1500 for a normal sized bear. They charge by the foot generally.

150-200 a foot depending on the taxi. Expect a 2 plus year wait if you use some of the taxi's on this site. I hear it's worth the wait though

Also, an average bear is gonna be 5-6ft. 6+ being big, 7ft is a giant

Kc_Kracker,

For open mouth rug we charge $170.00 L.F.  and your looking at about 1.25-1.5 year turn.

If your interested, you can go to website and facebook for references on quality of work.

Also remember, if cut incorrectly, not included in the price.  Thanks, Duane

When I've been to the taxi they lay the bear on a table that basically had a tape measure glue to it and measure from the tip of the tail to the tip of the snout for the LF to determine a rough price.

My taxi measures from base of tail to tip of nose.

We measure from base of tail to tip of nose also. Relaxed skin.

You pay for what you get. Look at each taxi's work before you make a decision.

I charge $175 per L/F for a Black Bear Rug.  If it's a Griz your looking at $200 per L/F.  I measure from the tip of the nose to the base of the tail.
