Read below. We should all email him and educate him on this issue. Don't let the Liberal A$$ raise hell, we need to write him on this issue. :bash: :bash:
The chairman of the state Senate committee that oversees Washington's Department of Fish & Wildlife tells NBC News that the killing of a gray wolf pack in recent days was "inexcusable" and that he is demanding answers about why the agency thought it was necessary.
"I find it inexcusable that we allowed ourselves to get to a place where killing the entire pack was the necessary decision when other non-lethal options – within the department and with ranchers – were not totally exhausted first," said Sen. Kevin Ranker, chair of the Senate Natural Resources and Marine Waters Committee.
"I find it ironic that the attacks on livestock that caused this situation ... took place on a ranch that has been outspoken about the removal of the pack and has refused to work with the department to implement prevention measures successfully adopted by other ranchers," he added.

Glad November is coming, is he up for re-election? hopefully we can vote the ***** out of office.

Since when does a rancher have to work with the state to protect his herd? If Ranker wants wolves around let him pay the damages out of his pocket.
-
Maybe he thinks the rancher should have killed them all? :mgun: I personally love it when politicians think they need to insert themselves in places they aren't needed.
-
It's people like him that have put the wolves in that perdictment!!

A few of us have posted on the wdfw Facebook page but most of the posts are from wolf lovers

I'd like to trap a couple and turn em lose in his yard.

Senator Ranker is up for re-election and his opponent is John Swapp http://www.swappforsenate.com/contact.html (http://www.swappforsenate.com/contact.html) who I emailed to find out his positions on many issues of concern to our members. I am anxious to see if I get a reply and what it will be.
Dear Mr Swapp,
I operate a Washington based online hunting forum www.hunting-washington.com (http://www.hunting-washington.com) which members are hunters, fishers, and outdoors people. We have a number of members in the legislative district where you are running for election to the senate.
Many of our members are quite unhappy with the position that Senator Ranker has taken regarding removal of the wolf pack that has been attacking and eating cattle in Stevens County.
I would like to ask what your position is regarding removal of that wolf pack and on wolf management in general.
I would also like to ask about your position on the 2nd Amendment and on hunting in Washington State.
I would like to post your comments on our forum for our 11,800+ members and guests to read. Feel free to call me if you wish at (509) 684-6294.
Thanks in advance for your time.
Best Regards,

Well if he wants them relocated, let's get them relocated to his backyard and see the *censored* that a pack would stir up in the heavily populated area. After all wolves were here first, right?
-
Glad November is coming, is he up for re-election? hopefully we can vote the ***** out of office.
thats exactely what is going to happen ...He gained NO POINTS with the antis ... ;) Get some revenge for the Game Commissioner in Caly :yeah:
-
Time to light up his inbox. You're not getting re-elected *censored*!

Dear Mr. Ranker, I read your statement criticizing the WDFW's decision to eradicate the Wedge wolf pack and want you to know that you will not be getting my vote. :hello:
Good day Sir!
-
Perfect. 10,000 similiar emails MIGHT get his attention.
-
Democrat from Orcas Island. Sadly, I don't think he gives a rip about hunters. He has enough votes to get reelected without them.
Telling him what we think is the right thing to do. It's just that it's probably about as effective as a Washingtonian casting a vote for Romney in the fall.
-
At least some idiot has to read 10,000 emails.

I knew there had to be a good reason. :chuckle:

:yeah: With all the bunny-hugging liberals over there, he's sure to be re-elected. And that lying sack of $h1t Jay Inslee will probably be our next Governor, too!

This Ranker character clearly has not been staying up on wolf issues. The ranchers have been for years trying all those absolute idiotic drummed up deterents and none of them work. He obviously didn't read that the McIrvins have had range riders out in full force this summer with no benefit. He also must not care one bit about the 40 plus cattle the rancher has lost and all the extra expenses he's been forced to absorb out of his own empty pocket. I'd suggest that if Mr. Ranker is so adamant about exhausting all efforts that he sends the McIrvins a personal check to pay for these expenses. If he is really serious then he will, if he's just another smoker blower then he won't. It's real easy to criticize the neighbor for using too much water to put his house fire out but when your own house catches fire your tune changes.
How did these people ever get elected? Evidently he never heard or maybe doesn't understand the old statement "WALK A MILE IN MY SHOES"

How did these people ever get elected?
He's a liberal, elected by the overwhelming number of liberals over there. And, THEY DON'T CARE!
-
Now the anti's are going to try and get the Mc
Urns to lose there grazing lease. It's on face book.
-
Since Senator Ranker lives on Orcas Island and will probably never have to face the impacts from wolves in his neighborhood, he is looking for I-5 corridor votes from the conservationists, obviously. I will be sending a letter to him and CC'ing it to all the people that Bearpaw listed in his request to write letters to state, county and gov't officials regarding removal of the Wedge pack. The dude is obviously out of touch with the rural values of us in the boonies of NE WA since wolve don't swim far enough to effect his back yard.

Wow I had no idea this was on the McUrns property they are good people. I hunted their place with a relative of theirs years back very sad this is happening to good hardworking family.

Ranker was on King 5 tonight. What a friggin squirrel. That guy has no idea whatsoever what he is talking about, pure politics and nothing else, he's obviously somebody else's little mouthpiece. I'd like to know who is pulling his strings because he clearly has no interest or clue about what is best for the resource and citizens of our state. He clearly has an agenda and it's not honorable.
-
All great comments and yes, we are talking about an elected idiot here!!!!! But heck, maybe we should give his voice a little chance,.....
Let's live trap them, ..(they don't like the killing/culling part, and then release an entire pack on Orcas Island@!@!!! Let's see how fast they do an about face..!!!!!
-
My thoughts exactly, turn them loose on Orcas Island, I say about 20 of them should do for starters and we'll see just how warm and fuzzy he believes the wolves will be after about a year of that life style.
-
"Orcas Island Pack" That name really has a good ring to it.... :chuckle:

That is a good idea Dale since they have no predators on the Islands except some foxes ...this would be a good thing for the greenies and the deer to managed :dunno:

I just watched Ranker on King 5 NEWS THIS MORNING running his mouth on how he recieved a call from the commission saying they just killed the remander of the pack and he said he was so disgusted he hung up the phone ... :pee:

This is what I sent to Ranker...
Dear Sen. Ranker,
I'm applauded that you would criticize the Washington State Game Department for taking action on removing the Wedge Pack. As a farmer its hard enough to make a living and when you add a predator to the eco-system that has been void for many years, you don't think that there was going to be a problem? Don't forget FARMERS feed the world, and you will not be getting my vote in November!
-
Email sent. His only agenda here is to get re-elected. He could not give a crap about this issue, or we would have heard him speak up along time ago on this issue. What a shame that politicians do this. He is nothing but a unethical used car salesman.

As gun rights confab cools down, wolf battle heats up
No sooner had the final gasps of the 2012 Gun Rights Policy Conference been heard than did the Internet start breathing fire with a new angle to Washington’s wolf management story that is certain to maintain traction in the Pacific Northwest and beyond.

Ok if they do that. Then someone is going to have to transplant them and we have been assured that doesn't happen. :peep:

I suppose WDFW needs to learn how to SSS to keep Senator Canker off their ass

I hope Ranker's opposition responds, I am curious where he stands.

Sad, but true--and you know most of the islanders are bunny huggers. And if both of them get elected, Ranker will have a direct line to the Governor's office. :bash:

Ranker also has part of Bellingham in his district.
