Title: Field Photo's
Post by: huntnphool on October 09, 2012, 04:05:59 PM
I have been seeing a lot of trophies hitting the ground this year, congrats to everyone that has notched a tag. I have also been seeing some field shots that could use a little post processing work.

I'm going to put this out there for anyone that may be wanting to eliminate shadows on their faces from hats, lighten areas that are too dark, darken areas that are too light etc. If you would like me to take a shot at post processing your image just send me a PM and I'll see what I can do. I have some nice processing software that in a lot of images can fix some of these issues.

RAW Images are the best to send but if you don't shoot RAW then the largest jpg. file available would be a start.

Here is one from Flicknsticks Montana hunt. Typical silhouette, when the camera meters on the background. I could lighten just the buck and hunter but thought I would make it look like a color pencil drawing or painting of the harvest shot, its a different look and can look good next to a wall mount.

and these two. as you probably seen in my post the other day. "monster blacktail" there small pictures and i dont know if i can enlarge them. this is truely a BIG blacktail but the pictures are horrible quality. lets put you to the test with these two!

Post by: huntnphool on December 01, 2012, 10:23:53 PM
Sorry Roy, I can't make those small images larger without degrading the quality. The eyes in the other pic look to be closed, I can't open them for you. :chuckle: And the lights in your girlfriends shot are too blown. If it were RAW I could fix a lot of it but not a lot can be doen for that jpg, sorry.

In all seriousness, Phool, that's quite an offer and sorry I threadjacked. :sry:

Huntnphool

I may be asking for a miracle, but all the photos of me and my hunting partner with my deer came out real dark and the snow messed them up.  I would love nothing more than to have one of these photos cleaned up so I can continue a hunting tradition that was started years ago.  We use harvest photos and make coffee mugs, we have quite the collection and unfortunately this years photos are not good enough quality to do this.  If you could give it a shot that would be great.

the top picture would be the most important to me

Thanks in advance

Johnny

It could possibly be featured in a magazine next March.  I was contacted for photos and a story, so we will have to wait and see if it actually happens.  In the meantime, it was nice to be considered for such an honor.....

Not sure what can be done to these, but curious if you have thoughts to make either one a photo worth printing for the wall in the duck room.  It's a crappy cell phone pic.
