Title: Back yard ring necks
Post by: jjhunter on August 27, 2008, 05:56:31 PM: I thought I would post a couple of pics from '06 and '07. These are me and my partners "first day" birds from the last two years. We have both limited in a five hundred yard draw that ends in my back yard - pretty cool. We don't get out on opening day like we used to, but still usually have a pretty good time on our first adventure out! In case anyone is interested, it looks like a pretty bad year in the Palouse. There are some carry-over birds, but the new hatches are few and far between. Hope you enjoy the pics!

Post by: jjhunter on August 28, 2008, 11:08:18 AM: We have a ton of quail, but my Mom won't let us shoot them. It's annoying when 200 quail get up in front of you and you can't shoot. My dogs are the ones who really don't understand. You can see it in their faces when they are like "shoot, shoot...".
