Thanks for "letting" me help pack it out. And nice job on the bear, even if you had to shoot 6 times :chuckle:. That puss filled hole in his snout was kinda weird though. Maybe Michelle can dig into what caused it.
-
Hahaha it's 1:00 am and you have to clean a bear. I'm going to sleep in my cozy den.
A little jealous but glad you are the one up cleaning and paying for the rug.

Way to go D-Rock  now is the time to drop one

Nice, need help with anything? Im close by (Lake Stevens/Marysville).
-
I hate that you shoot a bear, post no story, and have 3 pages. Why the h#ll do people like you so much? Is it the sunglasses? The leprechaun beard?
I shoot something and people are like "yeah, whatever dude, your story sucks"
Would you post the story already though!
-
ok well here's the story we were up driving around c-post and passed about 6 or 7 bears before i finally found one small enough to shoot. ha ha just joking your story will have to wait off to the butcher.

I've heard a lot of animals were taken out of C-post this year. It must be a really great spot. Yours is at least the 8th bear I've heard of taken out of there this year.

Does the letter " C" in C-POST mean crock, for crock of sh)t ? :chuckle:

well stang and i had are normal plan to meet about 4 and head out on are evening walk with the rifles. we had a spot in mind as we left the house then i changed it about half way there. hiked up and checked out a new gate we have never hunted. once we got to the top of the clear cut we liked what we saw. checked the first landing nothing walk up to the next and sat for a bit. on the way out I asked are we going to check that first landing again? sure glad we did i spotted the bear at probably 100 yds or so down the hill. motioned bear to stang standind 20 yds to my right. I took off my pack set it on the stump directly in front of me turned the scope up to 9 power put cross hairs on his front shoulder and let the 140 grain hornady go out 0f the 7mm-08. the bear cart wheels around and starts for the timber line. knowing the bear was hit fairly good but still on his feet i was quick with follow up shots until he was down for good. I even think stang fired a shot or two as back up shooter (but he cant hit anything) :chuckle:. got the bear home about 1am then started skinning. i would like to thank stang and Dan for the help getting the bear out i appreciate the help.
-
nice going! glad to hear there are still some bears hangin down lower to shoot at during deer season :chuckle:
-
Did you get a weight? A friend of mine was up were you got that this morning and called me to tell me that someone had gotten a bear in there because he found the gut pile. I told him that i knew who got it. Was that good info about the old road at the bottom? Anyway good job hope you get another.
