How many hounds do you hunt at one time???
-
Depends on conditions, what specie you are hunting, and what's the main purpose of the hunt.
Depending on those factors it may be anywhere from 2 to 10 dogs.

I agree, just thought I would get something going on this part of the site... I have been hunting hounds for a long time here in WA. State. Even back when you could hunt like a human... Before I-655... I am down to three grade females...Walkers... Hunting legal game...hunting raccoon's, just not the same...

Uh how many dogs do I have in my box?
for me this is what I try for
Bobs - 1 or 2
Lions - 2 to 4
Bears - 2 to how every many I can throw down. Usually like to have more than two though.

i think if your hunting more often then not, 4 older dogs and 1 young dog is a far amount, run all of them on bear, and maybe rotate them on coon(but always hunting the young dog) same goes for beagles, maybe 3-4 older dogs with a pup or two thrown in the race. thats what i normally try to run

I like to hunt three to four hounds for coon, no need for any more than that. Right now I'm huntin two walker female's and a male black&tan. The best hunts I've had though was with just one good old coon dog that could get the job done.
