Mine is my 12 ga 870, It has killed more deer, bear, turkey and critters than anything else! I do use a Hastings rifled barrel with a penyax light seeker II on it for big game. Shotgun is the all around killer!

I'm assuming you are speaking for yourself? Are you asking about a single "hunting" gun or just one gun to own for any reason?
-
If you legally were only allowed to own one. Sorry!

Okay, TC Pro Hunter with every barrel they make
-
+1 on the Encore.

Now that was a good answer!! But I think you fudged on what he meant. :chuckle:

Well legally speaking it is only one gun ;)
-
340 Weatherby...

You are right on the encore's but you are limited to a single shot! I know that's all it take for big game most of the time but it is nice to have the multiple shot you must admit!
-
It would have to be my plane jane beat-up dinged Rem 700 in 7mm mag. No doubts out to 400yds. Clover leaf at 100yds. Or....would it be that .22 single shot? Or would it be that 686.....?
-
Really only one, there is no way I could do it. :dunno:

OK Obama sends his SS to your house and you could only keep one gun! If you could only have ONE! You can kill everything with a shotgun, thats why I picked it.
-
>:( No one will ever take my guns or yours, and you know it ;)

Savage 24F-12. 12 gauge/30-30 over under combo. One gun covers all bases. If were talking rifles only, 300 win mag.
-
I think my 44 mag Marlin 1894. I think it'd be handy for home protection, as it holds 10 in the tube. And, it's not a bad deer gun.
It hurts to think about.
-
300 Weatherby. :rockin:
-
If it comes down to having all of them taken but one I am assuming we have given up all hunting rights as well.
At that point I want my mini 14 with as many 50 round clips as I can round up. :chuckle:
If we can still hunt I would say over and under rifle shotgun combo.

Winchester Model 70 featherweight
30-06
-
If I can hunt, my Benelli SBE, or if not, my Tika T3 243.
-
Sako 85 Hunter model in Win 300 mag
-
:)"this is my rifle, this is my gun, this ones for fighting, this ones for fun. Ole Marine Corp Humor. :chuckle:
sorry, I think I'd go with a shot gun. :IBCOOL:

I would have a custom rifle built along the lines of the ruger alaskan but in 30/06. Really good adj. sights, quick detach rings. and probably a luepold vxIII 2.5x8 or maybe 1.75x6 or maybe even a fixed 6. 20" heavier than normal stainlees steel barrel, laminate stock (pepper gray) I have actully been thinking of haveing a gun built on those lines as it is just cause I like the concept. For me it would be my Remington 7600 Pump .30-06!
-
Looks like I'm the first to vote for a handgun. I'd probably go with a 1911.
:guns:
-
man i cant even think about how it would be only bein able to own 1 gun.....but i would have to say the 300 win mag....i think
-
arent they they advertising 200 yards with the new slugs and 3.5 inch shotguns.
-

I would take out the SS and take their guns so I could have more :IBCOOL:
But if I had to choose it would be an AR in 308.
-
I can shoot 150 yards with the 870 and the Hastings rifled barrel. My buddy dumped a blacktail from 16 yards with it. I wont shoot at a bear over 100 with it.
-
Probably my 1963 Belgium Browning 308 Norma Mag. With my 300 mag a close second :chuckle: I figure I have my bow to kill birds and rabbits with ;)
-
If I ever manage to get one built it will be a 6.5X 284.
