The rut is deffinately heating up! I found this guy about three hours into my hunt this morning hot on a does tail. I shot him twice with my .357. Two almost perfect shots. Followed the blood trail and found him still following the same doe. Finally she ran off and he finally died.

Nice Buck man!!

Nice buck! So why did you choose to use a handgun? Just for the challenge, or were you in a firearm restricted area?

Nice job, thats the last frontier for me to kill a deer with.

Very nice.

that's a nice big 2  Are those two holes the exit wounds? or were you using hollow points? :o
-
bobcat: it was a firearms restricted area so i chose the had cannon over the shotgun its more fun.
singleshot: those were the entrance holes and they were not hollow points but they were the 180 gr. Heavy .357 Magnum Buffalo Bore these are some awesome rounds for hunting with a .357

How far was the shot?

It was about 15-20 yards away i jumped him in the brush and shot him as he was on the run.

That's awesome. Not many people have done that.

Well it obvious you can use it :dunno: :chuckle: He must have been really corny to still be chasing a doe once you blew a hole threw him :yike: Nice buck

Awesome! Funny what love will do to a Buck even after he has been shot :chuckle:

Nice job! I was trying to bump and gun with a .44 today just to have something different then sitting in the rain all day. I'm so jealous.

Huge body on that beast!

After being gutted, head cut off, legs cut at the joints, and skined he weighed 111lbs.

It looks like the .357 put the hurt on the front shoulder. congrats
