I was cleaning the barrel and noticed a dark spot on the inside of the barrel about five inches in from the receiver end. It is not rust and when I tried looking at it with a flash light I could see very small indents that looks like bird shot. The barrel does not appear to be bulged at all.
My guess is that a wad got stuck while I was duck hunting and I shot the gun again with the wad was stuck in the barrel. I have shot the gun plenty of times since when I am guessing the incident happend.
I do not think it is dangerous to shoot since most of the pressure would be in the first few inches of the chamber but I was just wondering if I could polish the spot out or if anyone else has had this happen?

is there a bulge on the outside of the barrel? if not I would spray some break free on that spot let sit and give it a good scrub. there is a good chance it could just be a left over piece of plastic from a wad.

No bulge that I can notice. I will take your advice and see what happens

Take a bore brush wrap a piece of green scotch pad around it and put it in a drill spray some lube on it and run it up and down the barrel
