Title: Nosler LR Accubond
Post by: JPhelps on November 01, 2012, 09:35:08 AM
It will be interesting to see if the numbers hold up

Bend, Ore. – October 31, 2012 – Nosler, Inc. is pleased to announce the release of their new line of AccuBond® Long Range bullets. Developed through a combination of bullet manufacturing techniques that are unique to Nosler, the design of the AccuBond®-LR allows for the highest B.C. possible in a bullet of the same caliber and weight. Designed with an optimum performance window ranging from 3,200fps to 1,300fps, the unique tapered jacket geometry and proprietary bonding process of the AccuBond®-LR allow it to expand rapidly for effective energy transfer and significant tissue damage while retaining sufficient weight to ensure deep penetration into the vitals. The AccuBond® bonding process allows the AccuBond®-LR to perform reliably on game throughout the entire velocity range, eliminating the problem of being “too close” often encountered with other high-B.C. bullets. The high-performance boat tail, long ogive, and polymer tip combine to make the AccuBond®-LR the sleekest, flattest- shooting, bonded, hunting bullet ever created. The ogive of the AccuBond®-LR is designed to provide excellent accuracy in a wide variety of firearms without the necessity of being loaded close to or in contact with the lands. The new AccuBond®-LR will be packaged in 100 count boxes, and will initially be available in the following calibers and weights.

I'm liking the 6.5 129 grain.
Hope they keep it below the Berger.

I just might have to try that 150 grain in my 270!

I sure do like supporting a local bullet company too.

I bet the 210's would be awesome!  I shoot 200 grains out of mine and the balistics are great (from back when federal premium loaded 200 grain Sierras).

That's exactly what I was thinking....I run the Bergers now and they shoot great but I always worry about close shots. These should take care of that worry.

I don't see any .338 in the new LR version.  I think BH has original Accubonds.

I have had such good luck with the original Accubond, I probably won't change. The new LR sounds mighty good though.

Why?

The 190s or 210s will smoke a 165 at ranges these bullets are designed for.

I just downloaded the 2013 catalog and sure enough they are there. Lists a .730 BC for 210 train. 308! Can't wait to get my hands on these!
Anyone know when suppliers will have these?
Please carpsniper, tell me it will be soon!

I will try to get a hold of my friend down there tomorrow before I forget all these questions :chuckle: I know they are pretty far back on getting caught up to the demand going on right now. I have not got my new price sheets yet either so I will try to make time for the call.
