Was this pic really taken by Colfax? I don't know. Can anybody identify those yellow lines or the broken white line? It looks like an eye guard and g2 were broken off in the collision. Even worse, the Buck's life was taken and now the meat will be wasted; not to mention where will the rack will end up?

Thank you for verifying the information. That is a really neat buck. Your dad is lucky to have been able to see it, even if it was dead on the road. not COLFAX WA. I have friends and family over there that work for city and county. no such deer killed over there. they are all hunters i would have heard about this one.

Very much so. Whitman county gets 5 mentions (of the 393 entries) in the typical rifle category in the lastest WA book, the biggest being a 156" buck from 1999. Granted, there are a lot of people who couldn't give a rip about the WA books and don't enter anything. Just a reference point. I have seen pictures of one legitimate giant whitetail that came out of the general rifle down there in the last couple years. Not doubting that there are giants out there, somewhere...jj is probably right, though those properties aren't anywhere near commonplace.
