They did, but the outfit must have negotiated and won their arguement.  How pitiful is that.

What is the link to complain, maybe if they get enough?

Maybe you guys could all chip in and buy it's freedom? Sounds alot like the people who are trying to save trees on other people's property, or PETA trying to save the lives of chickens and cows. I wouldn't do it,that's for people like Troy Gentry(of Montgomery Gentry), but it is somebody else's property after all. Or am I missing something? :dunno:
Is it any different than the many upland bird hunting outfits in the state? It's a farm.

Wow, kill a deer in a pen is a HUNT? Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't SCI have a score book for high fence hunts? If so, maybe they could put an and to this.

click on ther report,   then you have to say why, drop down menu, banned listing, then wildlife for sale or something like that.  It will ask you to log in and then give a real brief description.

That is just stupid. Does he let it out of the cage and smack its ass and then tell teh hunter to go find it.

It says the Deer are released not hunted in the pen, We really need to remember that hunting is not the same averywhere if this is legal why is it a problem for us, this is another one of those times we should not try to invade on other hunting styles, just my opinion.

So why call it hunting? It should be called something else. This is not hunting and this well give all hunting a black eye. All the non hunters see, is this poor deer in a pen going to get killed by a so called hunter. I'm a hunter and I as a hunter, I well have no part in this. It just goes to show if you have the money you can do anything.

Well if your not up for one of the "hunting trips", maybe you'd be interested in one of their semen straws.  :P :P :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

Call it what ever you want and we do not have to agree or be involved but if it is legal why is a problem for us.

I don't have a problem with this :cue: I'm sure they are good eating. But don't call it hunting. :bdid:

I suppose its no different than going to a farm and being able to kill your own side of beef. That being said I believe the words hunt or hunting should be banned from adds like this, its more like a harvest or shoot.

Merriam's-Webster defines "hunt" as: (and I copy and paste)
Pronunciation: \ˈhənt\
Function: verb
Etymology: Middle English, from Old English huntian; akin to Old English hentan to seize
Date: before 12th century
transitive verb
1 a: to pursue for food or in sport <hunt buffalo> b: to manage in the search for game <hunts a pack of dogs>
2 a: to pursue with intent to capture <hunted the escapees> b: to search out : seek
3: to drive or chase especially by harrying <members…were hunted from their homes — J. T. Adams>
4: to traverse in search of prey <hunts the woods>
intransitive verb

Sounds like it meets Webster's definition of hunting to me.  :dunno: :dunno:

Should I refrain from using the phrase "hunting for my car keys" simply because I know they are in the confines of my fence? From now on I am "harvesting my car keys. :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:"

Webster's definition of hunting is not the same definition of hunting I hold too. You can hunt all you want for what ever you want and call it hunting for what ever you want. When I think of hunting I think of fair chase hunting.

You're right, Webster has it pretty well defined. As a hunter I would think you would be a little more concerned about the image these types of things portray. :dunno: To each his own, everyone is entitled to an opinion and yours is duly noted.

To each, their own. I prefer archery myself, but I'm not going suggest banning modern firearms because it isn't my idea of fair chase. Over and out!!!!

I have a problem with it because of the millions of folks that scour e-bay that may not be anti-hunting types yet, until they see something like that.   If you want to call that hunting all the power to you.  I suppose you'd be the type to shoot one of those, have it mounted and then tell stories about the kill with a cold one in your hand.
For those of you that are big bird hunters, I'll go get my pet pheasant for you to blast withthe 12 guage and you can call it hunting. I'd prefer you do it while it wasn't eaing out of my hand.  I hope thats entertaining and fun for you all.  I hlonestly could care less about the caged whitetail, but I really don't want what I do (hunting) to be classified in the same category as that.  Next thing you know you'll see a picture of them in a magazine.  If you they are smart, they might not have the fence in the background.
