With the rut in full swing I was able to sneak up on this guy keeping an eye on four does and another three point. I saw the 3pt first then caught this guy bedded down. I have trail cam pics of him from last year. He's grown significantly. Too bad he's just a two on the one side but I don't see him gaining any points in the future. Still a cool blacktail!

Handsome Buck

Thanks! I took about 40 pics of him. I have a real cool one of him staring me down with his head tipped forward but it's a little out of focus :bash:
-
Nice!
Those dark antlers look awesome.
-
That is a beauty of a mature blackie. He's got much lighter fur than the ones I usually see. His is brown while the deer I see are more grey.

Yeah he's mature but I still think he's a pretty young deer. Not to sure about age but I'm guessing the 3 1/2 range? He still has a pretty young looking face and has grown substantially since last year.
-
Thats awesome genetics for a 31/2 year old! Stud buck!!
-
He has a cool looking rack

Went for a drive this morning in a couple areas where I have been seeing lots of does near residential areas. Figured anyday the boys would start to show. Just had the point and shoot in the truck today.

This guy is pretty cool. Lots of twine in his rack.

Those are some beautiful pictures of the prettiest big game animal in washington, nice job. I dropped a set of horns off at the taxidermist about a week ago and told him I'd get back to him on which way to do the ears, forward or back. Thanks to these pictures my mind is made up, they're going forward. Great pictures.

The young buck at the top of this page could grow up BIG.

Yeah he has some good potential. I love his double throat patch. Should be a stud in a couple years.
