Since I can't shoot 'em, I might as well shoot 'em. This is what we found today after driving around our neighborhood for about an hour. more to come, I'll do it in a few posts
-
This 3x3 thought he was really tough running off this 2x2...little did he know there was a big boy hiding in the bushes. After a little sizing up, the 3 point took off
-
Awesome
-
the little spike cracked me up...he was happy to be within 100 yds of a doe.
-
This poor guy was absolutely dead tired...somebody wooped him. His head was laying on the ground when we first saw him. Thought he was dead.
-
what a tank...
-
50 yds from my house...
-
You have some very nice bucks down there! Always a great time of the year. Thanks for sharing.
-
2 of the 4x4 's I got pics of were almost identical...I had to drive back a half of a mile to make sure i wasn't looking at the same buck. I wish I knew how to take pics and had a good camera.
-
Wholy cow
-
wow. those are some really impressive deer. thanks for taking the time to take and post the pics. i find myself having to ask though why you cant shoot them ? is there a hunting ban there or something ?

Firearm restriction within city limits?...although, there is duck hunting allowed in certain areas. I really don't know for sure. If you find out, let me know.
-
nice. good pics. you need to go get a pic of the big boy over by my parents place with the 18 to 20 inch spike on one side
-
they seriously need to figure out a season for that area the deer are like a plague of rats...lol
I always see awesome bucks in open sores....and there was a busted up doe with a backwards leg who continued raising fawns each year
-
You can use your bow during rifle season if you have a rifle tag...just saying.

I got some bruisers on my phone. But can't figure out how to post them

I just went through my pics. I have 5 of those bucks in velvet. Especially the big 4x4 with eyeguards :sry:

Are these from that house on Taurus right by the Taurus Beach entrance? I always see deer on that guys deck. My parents live down there and the place is crawling with bruisers. Me and Silkonthewetside went out and hunted the Rayonier land outside of ocean shores during general a few years back - didn't see chit the whole day, came back to my parents place for dinner and there are two big boys just hanging out taunting us in the back yard. I nearly called it quits that day.

I have a cool video on my phone of that big boy fighting with that little forkie on the right. Pretty cool to see, they just don't even care that people are around.

Exactly! I need a land owner damage permit...they're destroying my wife's flower garden and harassing my dog.
-
You have the right to protect your property right? You feel threatened :chuckle:
-
I wouldn't worry about the sheriff or DFW giving you a ticket if you shot one. The locals would come after you with pitch forks, Prius’s and small ankle biters in force. And some of the metro sexuals that visit the area may slap you really hard. Again watch out for the Prius or Subaru Foresters and you may be fine. :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:
-
Isnt that the truth :chuckle:

I get so many dirty looks around here it's not even funny. If a deer came up missing, I'd be the prime suspect. A neighbor lady told my wife that if she didn't feed the deer, they wouldn't survive. Sometimes I feel like I have to sneak dead animals from my truck to the garage so nobody sees them. I swear their are a few people that pace back in forth in front of my house shaking their heads as they stare through my window at my mounts.
...secretly, I love it that it bugs them and that they think I would actually shoot these Disney deer down here.
-
Sounds like the neighbors need a nutsack door knocker :chuckle:

yes enza that would be the one that spike has got to be all of 18 inches he has been hanging out on the south end of duck lake drive the last few days. looking pretty wore out
-
That spike reminds me of an old buck with a huge spike, and a bald spot on top of his head, that a cousin of mine shot a few years back.
-
Weird one eh?
-
I've seen two bucks with bald spots. Both big, old deer.
