I don't feel like I need it very often but once my arm gets tired I tend to slap it with the string. Only once each day and it hurts bad enough I hold good form the rest of the time.

I only shoot about 30 arrows per practice session. I'm not an expert but fancy myself a good shot, and I tend to think that if you're so worn out that you know your form is suffering, its time to hang it up for the day. :twocents::yeah:
Why keep shooting if your accuracy is gonna just go down because you are fatigued.
No guard for me.

focus on form and make every shot count,really imagine that world record every time you let one loose :twocents:
and maybe your draw length is a tad to long :dunno: :dunno:

That is when I wear mine, for the past week and up until the hunt I shoot 9 arrows a night with my hunting coat, arm guard, back pack, binos, gloves and hat on just to make sure my form is good with what I will actually be wearing for the hunt.

Might sound a little funny. I use an old sock to hold my jacket and under layers out of the way on my shooting arm. They are green and add to the camouflage.

That's what I do as well. I do, however, get some pretty smart-alec remarks when I yell "Honey, have you seen my old sock? It's that time again and I need it!" :chuckle:

By the way don't forget to practice with the coat that you're going to be hunting with and the armguard if you're going to use it to make sure it all works before you get out there and have An animal in front of you
