I've always liked this site to help ID a shroom, but as always never rely on a web site alone to identify a mushroom you plan on eating.

A couple years ago i met pianoman at the local RMEF banquet. He is a mushroom guru. He suggested the book "all that the rain promises and more" a pocket field guide to shrooms in the NW chock full of ID tips techniques, where to find them and even how to cook w/some recipes. A great book. The pages are sorta plasticized to survive in your back pocket. Got mine from Amazon.
