My cousin bought a used bow, a PSE G2 I believe, an '06 bow. After we shot our doves yesterday we all broke out the bows. My cousin who is inexperienced, had never shot a modern bow so we where showing him how to use the peep. We had him draw the bow with an arrow and were telling him how to come up with a sight picture and he let the bow down gently from the draw, as he did this the string came right off the cam, he hit himself in the face with his release hand and bloodied his lip. We were all cracking up as it was funny when we found that he wasn't hurt. The only thing that I can think is that he torqued his hand in relationship with the bow when he was letting the bow down and the string just rolled off the cam? Any ideas? Has it ever happened with you?

Only time I have seen that is after the bow was dry fired by a guy and he didn't notice the string slightly off the cam then pulled it again and whacked himself in the face pretty good when it came the rest of the way off. Long time ago with an older bow but it was damn funny !! :chuckle:

When I was knew to the bow hunting scene I drew back and hit the release mid-draw, which did a good job of hitting me in the face but that was my fault not the bows, so I am not sure about your situation.

I had a string come off the idler wheel once from torqueing it when I was being a dip shiat. Busted a limb and ruined the string and cables.

My brother in law has had the same problem with his 07 pse firestorm x. i think it has to do with the low brace height and torquing your wrist. it has happened to him twice.

I just about woke the kids up laughing outloud. For some sick reason I pictured your buddy whacking himself in the face from full draw and it made me laugh. :chuckle:
I dont know what to tell you about the bow. :dunno:
I still keep chuckling :chuckle:
