Title: A memorable year in Montana
Post by: Alpinehunter on November 10, 2012, 05:51:10 PM: The hunting was tough this year in our area so we felt fortunate to get what we got. My buck is probobly more special than any deer I have taken because my 4 1/2 year old son was there to experience the whole thing from the shot to the tracking. That is what it is all about.

When I was 4 1/2 years old I would have given almost anything to have gotten to go to montana with both of my grandpas. I just hope as he gets older he will still have the same desire for the outdoors that he has now. Thanks for all the comments!

The area we hunt has been hammered by 2 hard winters in a row and hundreds of additional hunters in the woods every fall due to the 500 cow tags they have started issuing in our unit. It kind of bums me out because that is a very kid friendly area.
