Title: Remington Model 17, rated for steel shot?
Post by: fisheral87 on November 11, 2012, 01:44:50 PM: A buddy and I surmised that this gun would not be rated for steel shot. Anyone know for sure?

My model does not have a screw in choke and the choke is stated as "Full" on the gun.

Post by: lokidog on November 11, 2012, 02:19:03 PM: I've got a Rem 870 Wingmaster 1963 and I shot 34 years of steel shot through the full choke with no issues. Not sure how old your Mod 17 is?
