I have lots of family over in North Dakota. I am trying to find out what it takes to hunt there as a non- resident. I have some information coming but if anyone has any information they would be willing to share that would be awsome. So far i have only looked on line and im allready starting to get confused!

I have family there also. I hunted archery deer in 2010 and if memory serves me right I think lic & tag was about 225.00. Hope this helps a little.

Right on how was it drawing a tag is it first come first serve or a random drawing like washington. And how did you figure out where to put in for i cant find anything on this besides that you have to draw from the lottery.
-
You have to draw for rifle but over the counter for bow I believe.
-
Correct. Archery is over the counter , but when they are out of tags you are SOL.Rifle is on a draw system. Lots of private land and i wouldnt buy a tag or put in unless you have a place to go.

My family owns a huge farm so i have a place to go thanks for the input so far.

HEY throttlejockey, what part of ND does your family live. Mine are north of Devils Lake about 5 miles from Canada.
-
The family farm is just west of devels lake. Small world. The rest of the family lives around the Bismark area.

Just got back from hunting there... Over the counter archery whitetail tags are $215 pretty cheap really for the quality hunting they have. Rifle tsgs for whitetail are draw and fairly easy to get mule deer is a different story fairly hard to get...
