Title: Bald Mountain area for Chukar.?.
Post by: Rowdy on September 03, 2008, 10:20:22 AM
I'll be spending the second week of October ay my Buddy's cabin near Goose Praire.  I'm hoping to check out some new areas for chukar and was thinking the Bald Mountain area above Naches looks like it might be Chukar habitat.  Anyone seen birds up there?  I also thought it might be cool to look for some grouse but don't want to mess up anyones deer and/or elk hunt.  If anyone is interested in meeting up to look for some birds they're more than welcome to join me and the pup.  Any general or specific info will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jake

I saw chukars up there once about 25 years ago. So they were there at one time. That's about all I can tell ya. Haven't been up there for a while. Used to see a few blue grouse up there as well.
