So as i sit here at work and think about the one place in the world i would rather be it would have to be. ELK/DEER camp.
so i want to see ALL of your camp pics. lets see those fires, those tents, those chairs around the camp fire.
something about it makes me all warm and fuzzy inside and it would really take us away from work.
here is a few from me.
-
couple more...god i cant wait to get in the woods!

Seriously Backwoods_Boy, you're going to have to cut this out man. 51 more days until I can pull out of here and head to Idaho and your posts are making it harder for me ;)
I will have to see what I can come up with from last year to add to this madness!
-
Tell me about it i have 43 days before i can head out for 2 weeks.....i am going over this weekend to tie up a big bull to a tree and tell him to stay. :P
sorry i am posting so much but its the only thing that gets me thru the days at work till huntin season, i feel like i have a problem and i need to seek mental help.
haha

That cabin picture looks like the cabin up off of the Cub creek road in Winthrop, I shot a grouse off of it last year!
-
Nope its near teanaway in a secret spot of course..just off of red top.
but good guess i think i know which cabin youre talking about.
-
Great pics!! Don't have a deer or elk camp since I hunt by myself and don't have to drive to far to hunt. Might do this fall when I go bear hunting, plan on taking my 8 year old since it will be her first year to hunt.
-
I was going to say the same thing there Bear hunter.Drive by that spot every year.
Cant wait to get over there for deer, the boy drew a doe permit again this year.
Rodger.
-
i would like to see a pic of that cabin.
funny how two completly different areas look so similar.
but honestly thats near red top mountain.
i have never hunted winthrop. :P
-
Post away Backwoods...I enjoy it.
Starts getting me excited for it. Pics just make the blood pump. Taking an extra week to scout before the season with pops. Can't wait to set up those wall tents....

AWE thats just mean! Love the camp pics...
givin me some great ideas guys...
KEEP EM COMMIN!!!
:hello:
-
I just want to make a observation and comment without getting everyone into a worked up frenzy again so everyone just relax for a second. Looking at all these pics, and by the way they are all very cool keep them coming guys  but has anyone else noticed how many of these pics show people sitting at camp, no weapons in hand, even with kids, but knowledgeable enough to realize that there are people out there walking around looking for animals to shoot, and have the intelligence to have their orange on even though they are in camp. I understand there are stubborn folks in this world and its their option to go without but why would any sane person "choose" to go out there during any hunting season without wearing blaze/chartreuse/flame pink etc? Seems to me this really would help reduce accidents across the country. :dunno: I applaud all you guys in the pics for setting a good example to everyone and especially our youth that are checking out the pics on this site, well done! :twocents:
-
Good point....i leave mine on in camp most of the time.
:P
-
Even my ole Black Lab has an orange vest he wears. He is our camp dog. Just hangs out around camp, taking life easy. He usually sleeps in the trailer while we are out. :camp:
