Mount for sure. Nice buck.

If you mount it you will get a bigger one next year. If you don't it'll take ten years to get a bigger one. I think the choice is obvious! :chuckle:
-
awesome buck congrats! you have to think about mounting that? you have bigger bucks running around your neck of the woods or what? lol seriously id already have that at the taxi

Very nice buck and if you don't mount it you'll reget it. Nice looking cape too-- mount that buck.
-
I always said I was going to mount any king I caught over 50 lbs., after 10 years of fishing/guiding in Alaska I finally got 1, its was 50.1 on a certified scale so I started second guessing whether a just barely 50 was enough or if I wanted to hold out for a bigger fish. I said the hell with it and got it mounted, the mount turned out awesome and after another 12 summers in Alaska I haven't topped it yet. Sure glad I had it mounted. :twocents:
Awesome buck btw

Great buck! Get it mounted!

I would cut the horns off to save room :chuckle:

I would get it mounted if you have an extra $650 or so laying around.

Thats the problem. I dont. Could survive with putting abit aside every paycheck, just hard to talk myself into spending that much knowing the family will have less.
650? talk to a new taxi. :dunno:
I was told less.
-
sweet buck man!

What a great deer. Do a European and put the money where it needs to go :twocents:

Great looking buck heavy and tall! JLS hit it on the head, I would love to have some shoulder mounts of my deer( not that I have a bunch of trophy class head gear laying around), but I'm not made of money. Taking the time off, spending the money on solid gear, and buying licenses cost enough. If I had the disposable income I would do it, but a euro is a happy medium, and stylin in its own wright. Nice job on a great deer!
-
Beautiful buck. He would go on my wall.
-
nice deer and congratz.
If you're on the fence, you can always freeze the cape for now and DIY a Euro. I think it's something every deer hunter should try out. It isn't that expensive to DIY and will broaden your appreciation for good taxidermy. Out sure did for me.
-
That's a beautiful buck, congrats. If it were me I would save 25 bucks a month and in about 2 years you'd have it paid for. Most good taxidermists are over a year out anyways. I think they would work with you. If that is a strain on the family, maybe you could just have the cape tanned for now and stow it away for a better time.
-
I personally would mount that buck, but a euro would look sweet too. You could do it (euro) yourself for the price of peroxide. Great deer man!
-
Great buck. For sure mount it. Mine was $600 but paid $250 down and then a year later paid the other $350 when it was done
-
support the local economy and mount it ! nice buck
-
If that is the biggest buck to date you have shot....the answer is obvious.
-
Nice buck, I would have that one mounted for sure.
-
Nice Buck, that beast would be mounted in my house!
-
Great buck! Congrats!
-
We need more pics of that brute.
-
no question...i vote for an off shoulder turn to the lefft
-
Great deer, I would mount it for sure, if money is tight see about payments. In the end family comes first, so if finances don't allow a shoulder mount do the european.
-
What a toad, he'd be on my wall if I'd have gotten him!
-
Sweet buck for sure!
-
Score?
My buddie and i threw a tape on it yesterday, 160 after deductions 165 or 167 before duductions.
-
More than likely the buck of my lifetime.... but there is always hope/luck :chuckle: I didnt cape it out right, taxi said he could put another cape on it :dunno: someother deers cape on it and the $$$ I think i will DIY european mount this one and hopefully can connect with a bruiser I have on cam that has alot of charecter.
-
another of next years mount
-
Outstanding buck!
-
mount it!!!!!
-
any guesses on age of this deer, I didnt even go after this buck this year. Thought id see what he does next year, I dont think he is to old.
-
Holy crap! :yike: What a monster of a buck!! To go along with everyone else, you definitely need to mount that thing!
-
no one gots a guess on the age of the buck with kickers off its G-2?
I was thinking that it was not all that old and hoping i can find him next year a bit bigger than he was this year.
