...well not sure if I want to post this.. but WTF I'll share, if you cant cook this then better turn in your man card  you can substitute chicken for 1.5 lb of ground beef, ground elk, deer, shredded anything  ID LOVE TO KNOW HOW THIS IS WITH ELK OR DEER!
1-1 chicken rubbed down down with Cayenne pepper, and baked til its done, NOT overcooked dry as it should be juicy perfect. if you use beef cook the ground beef first.
while thats cooking start your chili
-----in a large pot, put it on med heat, and add:
5 cans of diced tomatoes, juice and all dont drain them
1/2 cup of any chili powder
4 cans of kidney beans
1- 6-8.oz small can of el'pato HOT tomato juice
1 onion of choice diced small
1 CAN OF BLACK BEANS -OPTIONAL- BUT ADDS A GREAT FLAVOR
--1 TBSP of garlic powder or 2 large cloves squished up
--1 TBSP pepper, large grain if possible
--1 tsp salt
* * or void the above 3 lines & use garlic salt / garlic pepper if its what ya got * * dont matter flavor is the same
AS SOON AS IT STARTS TO BOIL TURN TO LOW !!!
-when chicken or beef is done strip chicken down to meat, fat, skin, everything but bone, chopped or shredded but shredded is better(we use a ninja) add to pot and stir in good
-ALSO ADD CHICKEN FAT/GREASE FROM PAN!!
-add about 5 splashes of tobasco sauce, adds a great flavor but not hot
simmer for 2.5-3.5 hours / until kidney beans are done, then EAT
SOMEONE PLEASE COOK THIS AND REVIEW IT, MY FAMILY BEGS ME TO MAKE IT!

thanks kracker, gonna try this, i have always wanted to make a great homemade chili, i have made a few and they were good, but not great, so hopefully this will be the one, have you ever used a large cooked potroast and shredded it up, slow cooked in a light chile cayene sauce?
-
no but about any meat should work just fine, i use this recipe for chicken and beef both great
-
Krackers, I have my own chili recipe but yours sounded so good I had to try it. I used elk meat and man was it good :drool:My wife and kids all liked it but my wife has almost drove us out of the house with her gas :chuckle: Thanks for adding a new recipe to my house.
-
 your welcome
-
simmer for 2.5-3.5 hours / until kidney beans are done, then EAT
Canned beans are cooked from the get-go :dunno:
-
A hint here boys and girls, I bake ALL of my chili at 250 degrees for 4-5 hours. Seems to get the flavors mixed in it better. Don't have to monkey with stirring it either.
I'm gonna try this recipe too !!
-
simmer for 2.5-3.5 hours / until kidney beans are done, then EAT

kidney beans are only partially cooked, and somewhat hard n crispy, not edible yet out of the can, every recipe on the planet says COOK for a reason. plus if they are not broken down the gasses during fermentation & digestion would hurt pretty bad.
-
makin this again tomorrow, but with smoked & injected chicken instead of baked, ohhhh i cant wait I will update :IBCOOL:
-
Kc i nominate you to be in charge of the food at the next hunt wa get together

Don't understand this comment, I've been eating kidney beans out of can for a long time and they have never been hard n crisp. :dunno:
-
wakuzi, i am not debating this any further, go cook yourself some chili and dump the kidney beans in the last 30 seconds, then eat some thats been cooked in
deer hunter, well thank you but im not that good, im not a professional chef anyways, i think we are all good in our own right with what we cook frequently, I just happen to cook everything a lot, I have 5 kids at home and 1 adult moved out so ya I cook a lot :chuckle: ZHowever if i started posting recipes youll need to beg bearpaw for a smoking forum too (i like that idea :IBCOOL: ) or maybe Moderate this one since this is where I spend 90% of my time reading and posting.
-
Im starting to get into this cooking thing more and.more lol its fun.expierementing

AMAZING!!!! Had my father in law over for dinner, everyone loved it!

niiiiice

Overall; simple and okay with beef. I used Roasted Costco chicken in the second batch. Chicken don't belong in chili. Have you ever met a Mexican eating Chicken Chili? My wife hasn't.
-
you cannot expect everyone elses amazing results when you dont follow the same recipe as everyone else. Costco chicken is a big fat far cry from my recipe :chuckle:

Do you really mean 1/2 cup chili powder?
Will this fit in a 6 quart crock pot?
@kc_Kracker

KC I’m going to crank this up on Sunday for friends and family coming over to watch the game. Plan to serve it over some of my homemade venison hot dogs.
-
Going to have to try this. Just emailed it to the boss! :chuckle:
-
man i havent made this one in several years, i need to soon!
-
How big of pot do you need and how much does it make?
How spicy hot is it?
Sounds like a killer chili recipe!

Well I count 10 16 oz cans plus all the other stuff, so it’s quiet the batch of chili, 1/2 cup chili powder so I’m guessing warmer than average.
-
👍

always use a pot 2x the size you think you need for chili, beans expand!
-
300-no my kids ate the hell out of it so it isnt that hot just a lil spicey from what i remember. i forgot how many people liked this.
-
Going to try this. With just the wife and I, think I'll try half a batch. How does it hold up in the freezer ??
-
I made this on Sunday. Good stuff! What I like about it is it’s simplicity and ease to prepare. I did crank the spice up a bit to suit my need for heat. This would make a great hunting camp chili cooked in a Dutch oven over some coals or on the wall tent stove. Or make at home and freeze in gallon bags then reheat at camp.
-
READ ALL THE COMMENTS, A BUNCH OF MEMBERS MAKE THIS AT HUNT CAMP THEY SAID THEY LOVE IT BUT THEY ALL FARTED ALL NIGHT KILLING EACH OTHER :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:
-
Those aren't comments, those are warning disclaimers.
-
ya it may not be safe for several occupants in a small enclosure, especially with an open flame
-
Bringing this one back to the top, I made this a few times years ago and it was killer. I had lost the recipe but now it’s found again.
-
🤔
-
Gonna have to try this thanks for posting!
-
Funny seeing this. I ran across this recipe last Saturday when I was looking to make something different.
Yes, its very good.
-
I think I'll make some next weekend! :) I always add a little brown sugar to my chili, or sometimes substitute a can of Bush's Bourbon and Brown Sugar Baked Beans. :P
-
Real chili doesn't have beans in it.....just ask a Texan. I'll be making real chili tonight following this post, minus the beans.
I leaned that on Yellowstone by the way. :chuckle:
-
Making chili for the Super Bowl, but not this one. Haven’t had the guts to use that much chili powder.🤣
