Krackers, I have my own chili recipe but yours sounded so good I had to try it. I used elk meat and man was it good :drool:My wife and kids all liked it but my wife has almost drove us out of the house with her gas :chuckle: Thanks for adding a new recipe to my house.

simmer for 2.5-3.5 hours / until kidney beans are done, then EAT

Canned beans are cooked from the get-go :dunno:

A hint here boys and girls, I bake ALL of my chili at 250 degrees for 4-5 hours. Seems to get the flavors mixed in it better. Don't have to monkey with stirring it either.
I'm gonna try this recipe too !!
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

kidney beans are only partially cooked, and somewhat hard n crispy, not edible yet out of the can, every recipe on the planet says COOK for a reason. plus if they are not broken down the gasses during fermentation & digestion would hurt pretty bad.

Don't understand this comment, I've been eating kidney beans out of can for a long time and they have never been hard n crisp. :dunno:

wakuzi, i am not debating this any further, go cook yourself some chili and dump the kidney beans in the last 30 seconds, then eat some thats been cooked in

deer hunter, well thank you but im not that good, im not a professional chef anyways, i think we are all good in our own right with what we cook frequently, I just happen to cook everything a lot, I have 5 kids at home and 1 adult moved out so ya I cook a lot  :chuckle: ZHowever if i started posting recipes youll need to beg bearpaw for a smoking forum too (i like that idea  :IBCOOL: ) or maybe Moderate this one since this is where I spend 90% of my time reading and posting.
